01 / Find your fit

What makes this noodle worth a look?

Product facts first. Then choose the texture, flavour and meal that suit you.

01 / Calorie-conscious choices

Compare the base, not just a number

This is marketed as a low-calorie noodle option. Compare the current pack’s serving size before using the 11 kcal figure in a meal calculation, then count sauce and toppings separately.

02 / Cold-bowl variety

A refreshing change of texture

Try it in a cold bibim bowl or noodle salad. The product description highlights a refreshing texture, with sauce making a big difference to the finished dish.

03 / Pantry planning

Room-temperature storage

The noodle label says to keep it at room temperature. Follow the current pack for best-before and handling instructions; check sauce storage separately.

02 / Know your noodle

The details behind the keywords.

The English noodle label lists 11 kcal with a 180g serving, while the pack-front artwork appears to use a different serving basis. The exact current basis is not confirmed. Do not treat 11 kcal as a verified whole-pack total; check the pack you receive.

Ingredients & what to check

The label lists kelp paste 98.5% (water, kelp, salt and thickener), acidity regulator, thickeners, firming agent and vinegar. This is not the same as 98.5% pure kelp, and the product is not described here as additive-free.

A number for the noodle base is not a number for the whole bowl. Sauces and toppings add their own energy, nutrients and allergens.

03 / From pack to bowl

A base. A sauce. Your finishing touch.

Follow the preparation and storage directions on the pack you receive. Serving ideas below are optional.

01

Follow the current pack

Prepare according to the package directions and drain well. Confirm the serving size on the actual pack rather than relying on conflicting product images.

02

Mix with your choice

Use your selected sauce, or choose No sauce. A zero-sugar noodle label does not make every sauce or complete meal zero sugar.

03

Add texture and protein

Try cucumber, vegetables and egg or tofu. These are serving suggestions; adapt them to your dietary needs.

04 / Put it on your menu

Three ways to make it yours.

Cold lunch idea

Kelp noodle salad

Prepared kelp noodles with vegetables and a dressing you enjoy.

Spicy-style idea

Bibim kelp bowl

Choose a bibim set and add crisp vegetables for contrast.

Everyday planning

A noodle option on hand

Useful for rotating the base of a meal without always choosing the same noodle.

Before you choose

Good questions. Clear answers.

Is the noodle made from 100% kelp?

The label says 98.5% kelp paste, which includes water, kelp, salt and thickener. It does not say 98.5% pure kelp or an additive-free recipe.

Does a noodle sugar claim apply to the complete bowl?

No. Sauce and toppings have their own nutrition and ingredients. The published noodle images also have a serving-basis inconsistency, so use the current pack when checking amounts.

Can I count one whole pack as 11 kcal?

The serving basis is not confirmed across the published pack artwork and English label. Ask JoyK to confirm the current physical pack before using this number as a whole-pack total.

What should I check about the sauce and allergens?

Read the labels for both the noodles and the selected sauce. Recipes differ: a claim on one noodle or sauce does not automatically apply to the whole set. Some sauce options contain wheat, soy or sesame. If you need to avoid an ingredient, confirm the exact current pack before ordering.

Can I compare this with the other noodle types?

Yes. Explore the guides below, but compare the stated serving size and whether sauce is included. Different brands and recipes should not share the same nutrition assumptions.
